WHERE SHOULD I SPEND MOST OF MY MONEY IN MY ROUTINE?

WHERE SHOULD I SPEND MOST OF MY MONEY IN MY ROUTINE?

Here is the question that we hear very often:

WHERE SHOULD I SPEND MOST OF MY MONEY IN MY ROUTINE?

  1. Treatments. Have monthly facials, but do once a year intensive 3 months period where your skin has high intensity facial treatments. IPL facial, microneedeling facial or Collagen Booster Massage will all work on hurting your skin in the controlled way to produce new fibroplasts and collegen. Do not always have the same facial treatment, keep changing the technology and peels to challenge your skin.
  2. Serums You expect the most of your serum. It should contain the highest % of active ingredients. Spend your money on this product! Use it regularly morning and evening.
  3. Exfoliating acids. You will need them, but do not overdo it. The good ones cost money, but will give you the results.
  4. Dedicated night cream/product. Not necessary. Depends on your skin condition. Vitamin A products are essential night skincare routine, but consult with your facial specialist before investing your money.
  5. Good balm cleansers are essential, but do not need to spend fortune.
  6. Facial Oil. You can go for basic jojoba oil which is cheap and it could be fine for your skin. However, there is a world of difference in my mind between a basic ‘face oil’ and a sophisticated one made by the likes of doctors and facialists. Do not use essential oils on your skin!
  7. A good, dedicated SPF that fits your skin condition does not need to be expensive.
  8. Moisturiser/ Day Cream- it needs to be cheaper than your serum which is the key product for your skin.
  9. Eye Creams. Use your serum around your eyes. I have genetically droopy eyelids and dark circles, you all can see it. I’d be throwing money away paying for an expensive eye cream that I know in my heart won’t fix my droopy eyelids and dark circles. I need eye cream for hydration to plump up fine lines as this is only that it will do. I would rather have more microneedeling treatments to keep the skin under my eyes firmer and stronger.
  10. Face masks - depends on the formulations of the product, some of them can be used as the night treatment.
