3 IMPORTANT REASONS TO WEAR SUNSCREEN DAILY

We have all heard that it is important to wear sunscreen for skin protection, but do you know the specific reasons why? Even on cloudy days which we have a lot this summer, our skin is susceptible to the sun’s rays which can lead to skin cancer, pigmentation issues, and wrinkles over time.

Prevent the Signs of Aging

The best and cheapest anti aging advice is to wear sunscreen! Repeated sun exposure with little to no protection can cause damage to your elastin, collagen and skin cells. Over time, this can lead to premature signs of aging including pigmentation, wrinkles, fine lines, and a leathery appearance.

Our SUNSCREEN SPF50+ contains a combination of chemical filters that provide very high protection against UVA and UVB sun rays. Chemical filters have been selected that do not weigh down the skin, and among them you will not find nanoparticles and octrocrylene. Panthenol (B5), propanediol and glycerin are excellent moisturizing ingredients that prevent the skin from drying out and provide several hours of skin hydration. Chamomile extract, green tea extract , coenzyme Q10 and vitamin E in the product perform an antioxidant function. They protect cells from free radicals, accelerate skin regeneration and help maintain the skin’s youthful appearance.

Reduce Your Risk of Skin Cancer

Using sunscreen each day, even when it is cloudy, is one of the best ways to prevent skin cancer. If you are spending prolonged time outdoors or will be in the water, you should reapply your sunscreen every two hours, do not forget to cover your head and wear long sleeves.

Use a cream with a UV protection factor every day, regardless of the season. Always apply the product immediately before exposure to the sun. Be aware, that even when you use a product to protect against the sun, it does not offer 100% protection, so do not stay in the sun for too long, avoid the sun when it is strongest and use other protective means (glasses, headgear, clothing…).

Prevent Skin Pigmentation

It can be difficult to live with areas of skin pigmentation, especially when they appear later in life. These areas of pigmentation are often called “sun spots” or “liver spots” and are usually tan to brown in color. They often develop on the face, head, hands, and arms, and can affect both men and women. Applying sunscreen periodically throughout your day can help prevent these spots from appearing on your skin.

Apply the product in the last step of your skincare routine (after using a serum or face cream) and just before sun exposure. Repeat the application throughout the day and in sufficient quantity, especially after bathing, sweating or wiping with a towel. Follow the “two finger rule” to cover the skin of the face and neck to ensure adequate protection.

Reduce Inflammation

When our skin is exposed to UV rays it can cause painful redness and inflammation. This can be especially challenging for individuals with skin issues like psoriasis or rosacea. Wearing sunscreen each day helps to prevent inflammation from harmful rays. If you are prone to redness and have sensitive skin, look for a sunscreen with gentle ingredients such as zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. You should also avoid spray-on sunscreens as these can contain harsh formulas, including alcohol that can dry out the skin.

Our SUNSCREEN SPF50+ is free of octocrylene, nanoparticles, denatured alcohol, added fragrances and dyes. Dermatologically proven not to cause skin irritation. Suitable for vegans, pregnant women and nursing mothers.
