Evening skin care: Why it's important and how to do it right

The evening is the perfect time to pamper your skin with skin-improving active ingredients because your skin goes into a recovery state at night. All natural processes of the skin are then aimed at repairing and correcting the skin.

While during the day the skin is mainly focused on protecting. Moreover, there are ingredients that are photosensitive, which means sun exposure can cause skin sensitivity and irritation, so those products are better saved for the evening.
We always recommend having your routine specifically tailored by a skin care professional based on your skin type, current condition and overall skin goals.

 Here's an example of what your ideal evening skincare might look like:

 Step 1: Remove your makeup.
Do you already know ALL CLEAN BALM? This is a moisturizing balm cleanser that gently removes makeup and sunscreen without stripping the skin of its natural protective layer. 

A balm-to-milk cleanser with ingredients such as Jojoba, Hemp and Blue Tansy oil that effortlessly removes makeup, sunscreen and excess sebum while nourishing the skin.

Hemp seed oil soften congestion and environmental debris, whilst a blend of Sacha Inchi, Papaya and Borage soothe against oxidative-stress. Jojoba seed oil is good to remove make up, it also leaves a rich non-oily feel on the skin. Broccoli seed oil reduces the greasiness of the balm and it helps to speed up the hydration of the skin. Lactobacillus and Papaya fruit ferment extract exfoliates dead skin cells. 

Step 2: Cleanse your skin.
We recommend you to use the SOOTHING CLEANSING GEL for normal to oily skin.

The inclusion of Aloe Vera makes use of its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.

Chamomille (Anthemis Nobilis Flower) Extract is commonly used to relieve inflammatory skin conditions and calm sensitive skin.  It also provides antioxidant protection and also soothes and moisturise.

Grape Seed Oil contains high amounts of vitamin E and linoleum acid which are fatty acids that strengthen the skin’s barrier and function as a shield against harmful environmental elements.  It is naturally anti-inflammatory so helps calm irritated or sensitive skin, antimicrobial (targets spot causing bacteria) and non-comedogenic meaning it doesn’t clog pores.

Step 3: Use a toner.
This step balances your skin after cleansing and prepares your skin for the next steps.
For acne or Rosacea prone skin we recommend you to use Clinisoothe.
For other skin types we advise Pre-Treatment Toner by Hydropeptide. 

Step 4: Apply a moisturizer.
Use a powerful moisturizer with active ingredients that work while you sleep, such as DAY NIGHT CREAM.
